Fees, Deposits and Refunds

  • An invoice will be raised for the full term.
  • Fees will only be pro rata where a student joins during a term.
  • Refunds will not be given for non-attendance except in cases of serious injury or illness, at the discretion of the Principals.
  • Refunds will not be given where a class has to be cancelled and rescheduled; however, a credit will be applied.

Payment

  • Invoices must be settled by the end of the first week of term, or prior to starting classes following confirmation after a taster class where a student enrols during the year.
  • Payment can be made via GoCardless or BACS.
  • RBS reserves the right to cancel a student’s registration if fees remain outstanding after the due date.
  • Register, Attendance and Absence
  • A register is maintained for each class by the teacher and records student attendance for safety and safeguarding purposes.
  • If a class is cancelled due to teacher illness, a health epidemic, or any other unforeseen event, RBS will attempt to reschedule the class. This may occur on a different day or time and may involve extending the term dates. No refunds will be issued in this case.

Late Payment

  • The payer will receive written notice if payment has not been received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Right to Attend, Change Classes, Withdrawal and Termination

  • If a student wishes to withdraw from classes, half a term’s written notice must be given to info@rcds-online.com.

Permissions

  • For students under 16, parents must give permission for an authorised RBS representative to approve emergency medical or surgical treatment recommended by medical professionals where delay in obtaining parental consent would not be in the student’s best interest.
  • Students may be photographed or filmed during classes or performances and these images may be used in publications or on the school website. Consent is provided via the online enrolment system.

Waiver

  • Physical contact may be necessary by members of the teaching faculty in accordance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy.
  • Participation in dance activities carries inherent physical risks. All teachers are first-aid trained and every effort is made to ensure student safety.
  • Students are responsible for their personal belongings and RBS cannot accept liability for lost or damaged items.

Examinations

  • Students may be entered for a Class Award instead of a full examination where appropriate depending on experience, attendance or readiness.
  • Examinations and assessments may take place during school hours or weekends. If during school hours, an RAD School Absence Authorisation letter will be provided.

Agreement to the Terms and Conditions

  •  Parents or guardians confirm acceptance of these Terms and Conditions during the online enrolment process.
  • Parents agree that their child will attend classes wearing the correct Redbridge Ballet School uniform as specified by the School.
