Beginning with Pre-Primary in Dance and continuing through to Grade Eight Ballet, our ballet programme is carefully structured around the RAD examination framework.
Alongside preparing students for examinations, we place strong emphasis on developing secure classical technique, musicality, performance quality and character work, ensuring dancers grow as well-rounded performers as well as technically accomplished artists.
From approximately ten years of age, students who demonstrate particular commitment and enthusiasm are offered the opportunity to study the RAD vocational syllabus, progressing from Intermediate through to Advanced Two Ballet. We are proud to provide in-depth ballet training at this level. While the vocational pathway is designed to prepare dancers for a potential professional career, many students pursue Advanced Two simply for the love of ballet, personal achievement and the challenge of extending themselves beyond what they once thought possible.
RAD graded and vocational examinations at RQF Level 3 carry UCAS tariff points. Students who achieve a pass or higher in Grades 6, 7 or 8, Intermediate or Advanced Foundation may use their RAD examination results towards their UCAS points when applying for university or higher education courses in the UK.
