Modern Jazz

We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) syllabi for Modern Jazz, from Primary through to Advanced Two. Set to upbeat music, classes are lively, energetic and expressive, encouraging dancers to develop both confidence and individuality.

Modern Jazz is a popular choice for students with an interest in musical theatre, and for those who dream of performing on the West End stage. The syllabus places strong emphasis on performance quality and rhythmic accuracy, fostering excellent musicality, coordination and a dynamic, percussive movement style.

Classes may be taken alongside ballet or as a standalone discipline, making Modern Jazz an exciting and accessible option for dancers of all ages and abilities
